David Goloski

National Director of Alumni & Family Services

David Goloski was born and raised in Pennsylvania before relocating to Southern Florida at the age of 20. Like much of South Florida’s recovery community David was in search of a fresh start around new people, places and things; he found that, as well as beginning his career in the Behavioral Health Field, specializing in the post discharge sector of treatment.

David began his career in the behavioral health field in 2014, working for a structured sober living, before leaving and starting with a growing company that at the time provided both partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. He began his career like many as a behavioral health technician, working hands on with the clients, eventually transitioning to a peer recovery support specialist/recovery coach, helping patients navigate through recovery. Eventually David grew again and took on the role of Alumni Director, where he began to work with patients and families post discharge. Eventually growing yet again and becoming National Director of Alumni Services and managing 14 facilities and 7 alumni coordinators across the nation. With that growth David was able to gain the experience of working in all aspects of the behavioral health field, including primary substance use disorder, co-occurring disorders, primary mental health disorders, and eating disorders.

This became his passion, and he loved the ability to work with patients in the long term, while watching their hard work come to fruition. David finds there’s something special about working with an alumni population in this field, and that he gets to see all the best parts of someone’s recovery by staying connected and providing a safe, therapeutic environment for the alumni community to mesh in. It is through his experience that he knows that there is a certain level of comfort that comes when one is getting out of treatment and already has somewhere to turn, comprised of individuals who are eager to support them because they have quite literally been where they’ve been, and have seen the other side.

David joined the team here at RBHN to bring aboard his expertise of engagement and structure within alumni programming. RBHN is passionate about the alumni services they provide to their clients and share many of the same visions and goals that David does. When David is not working, he can mostly be found enjoying time with his family, one of his many gifts of recovery that he truly cherishes. In the fall and winter, you’ll find David cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. David remains involved in his own personal recovery as well. Having lost a father to alcoholism when he was a teen and eventually going down the same path, he knows how crucial it can be to stay involved in the recovery process.
