Michael began his clinical career at a well-respected and research driven Florida treatment center, where he remained for two and a half years. During this time, he started as a primary therapist and was quickly promoted to clinical coordinator. Here, he was responsible for assisting in development of an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient Program (OP), together with transitional housing, which quickly grew to over 30 clients. From this experience, Michael was recruited to work as a Clinical and Program Director at 15 bed detox and residential center, which eventually grew to become an 800-bed national addiction treatment provider. It was here that Michael became Director of Operations and was directly responsible for operations of all locations. He became involved in all aspects of treatment development and operations, including licensing and accreditation for all detox and treatment facilities, hiring and supervision of medical, clinical and administrative employees, and successful completion of Joint Commission audits at all levels of care.
In 2016, and with his strong leadership experience, it quickly became apparent that Michael would be best suited for the position of Chief Executive Officer for another growing organization. Michael became responsible for the development of two new detox facilities in South Florida, as well as an Inpatient/Outpatient substance abuse treatment center in Philadelphia, PA. Through Michael’s dedication and skill, he brought the Philadelphia location successfully through Joint Commission accreditation within his first month of employment, and quickly paved the way to expand programming there to encompass all levels of care.
When he is not overseeing the growth and development of the organization, Michael enjoys spending quality time with his young son. He also appreciates spending time on the golf course, whenever he has a few rare, spare hours to spend on the green.
