Jesse Reuter, Certified Addiction Professional
Jesse Reuter, a New Jersey native, received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at The College of New Jersey. Shortly after, he became a certified addiction professional. Jesse is currently pursuing a master’s degree in mental health and addiction counseling. He is a dynamic leader who has motivated countless adults, teens, children and families to first recognize the process of what is working in one’s life and then how to expand on that and maximize their abilities to achieve desired goals. Jesse’s own personal life experience has created a passion for breaking through the dauntless suffering that occurs from addiction and mental health illness, and believes that all people not only have the ability to change, but the right to have a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Alex Riley, CNDAI, Certified Addiction Interventionist
Director of Business Development/Co-Founder
Alex Riley is a certified interventionist from Jefferson Twp New Jersey.He is a respected man who has spent years as an interventionist dealing with the struggles of addiction. His specialty lies in helping the families of the struggling addict or alcoholic. Alex possess a creative and intuitive spirit with a passion for music and revolutionary therapeutic recovery processes. Alex has worked in the addiction treatment industry for years for some of the leading programs in the country. His passion lies in helping others to become whole and useful members of society, families, sons, brothers and friends. Alex’s personal experience in recreating himself has been his driving force for helping others to do the same.
Lisa Alleva, PhD LMFT
Lisa Alleva, PhD LMFT, has worked with victims of violent crimes and addiction over the last eleven years. She specializes in the areas of trauma and is certified in Hypnotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Rapid Trauma Resolution. Lisa holds a Masters and Doctorate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Lisa has had extensive success with treating clients suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as addiction, initiating in clients not only a sense of hope but also the skills necessary to achieve success in their everyday lives.
Amanda A. Camacho, MS, NCC, CCMHC, RMHCI, RMFTI
Amanda Camacho is our Program Director and one of our Primary Therapist. She has served in the field of Addictions and Mental Health since 2010. Originally from New Rochelle, New York, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and holds a Dual Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Barry University. In addition to providing therapy at several treatment centers in South Florida, Amanda has experience as a Program Manager at a residential treatment center for adults with mental illness in New York and has been involved with a Community Mental Health Center in South Florida as a Forensic Case Manager with adults suffering from mental illness, criminal involvement and drug use. She is also a certified Reiki practitioner; gifted in the teaching of meditation. She specializes in working with individuals suffering from addiction, individuals struggling with severe mental illness, marriage and family dynamics, and the LBGTQ population. Amanda attempts to inspire her clients to believe “You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
Sima Alavi is a Board Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Business Owner. She began her career in 1995, after graduating from the University of Miami and continued on to earn her masters and Doctrine degree in the field of mental health with specialization in both children and adults. Her focus is in rehabilitation, detoxification, and recovery for both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. Through evaluation and stabilization, she targets treatment for individuals experiencing a crisis situation and those who seek the need for immediate intervention. She works collaboratively with fellow psychiatric health practitioners to provide the best care for her patients.
Alicia Gard, MS, RMHCI
Alicia is currently a primary therapist at Recreate Life Counseling and has been a member of the Recreate family since November 2016. Alicia moved to south Florida from Massachusetts five years ago, where she had a career as a teacher and school director for 20 years. After spending many years working with children and families, Alicia decided to challenge herself in another field. She obtained her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2016 and enjoys working in the field of substance abuse and mental illness. Alicia believes in helping clients identify their negative thought patterns and reframing these patterns through narrative therapy techniques and solution-focused therapy. Clients can discover self-acceptance and ultimately believe they are worthy of positivity and happiness. “We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.” – Dalai Lama
Clinical Outreach Liaison
Mark, a New Jersey native, joined the Recreate Life Counseling team in November 2016 and brings over two years of substance abuse field experience to our staff. Mark began his career at Ambrosia Treatment Center as alumni coordinator before moving on to build Royal Life Center’s alumni program from scratch as their alumni director. In March 2016, he took his innate ability to work with those struggling and their loved ones to Mandala Healing Center and assumed a position in their admissions department. His prior experience and overall charisma attracted our staff to offer him the position of Clinical Outreach Liaison here at Recreate Life Counseling Services. Mark’s personal life experience of overcoming addiction has bred an undying passion for helping those whom still struggle. Mark is currently attending Palm Beach State University in pursuit of his AA before transferring to university to complete his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Lead Behavioral Health Technician
Charles is the lead behavioral health technician at Recreate Life Counseling Services. Born and raised in New Jersey, Charles moved to Florida in 2015 to start a new life for himself. He found his purpose to be helping others and has dedicated himself to working with men who struggle with the disease of addiction. Charles possesses strong leadership qualities accompanied by an immense passion for leading others to life of freedom, happiness and fulfilment.
Brianna, a Connecticut native is currently our Case Manager at Recreate Life Counseling Services. She has worked in the substance abuse and mental health field for three years. Brianna’s personal life experience and struggles have created a passion for breaking the cycle that comes with addiction and mental health issues, and believes that everyone has an equal opportunity to change and live full and purposeful lives. Brianna dedicates herself to helping others wherever possible, especially other women who struggle with addiction.
